My Experience

My experience goes far beyond traditional childcare. I have worked within the education sector in a primary school, following the EYFS curriculum, alongside over 15 years of paediatric nursing experience.

I have cared for premature babies, newborns, breastfed babies and children up to 17, including children with additional needs and complex medical requirements. I am confident managing medication, specialist equipment and individual care needs, ensuring every child feels safe, understood and included.

At Tiny Playhouse, learning extends far beyond our home. Children enjoy Forest School, playgroups, soft play, outdoor adventures, baking and cooking, alongside opportunities to develop independence and life skills.

As a qualified gymnastics coach, I also introduce children to age-appropriate gymnastics, helping them develop strength, coordination, confidence and body awareness safely.

Communication is at the heart of inclusion, which is why I teach British Sign Language from an early age, giving children valuable skills to communicate with others and creating a more understanding, inclusive environment for everyone.

My Availability

Availability & Flexibility

My childcare model is built around flexibility, particularly for families working shifts or non-traditional hours where standard nursery and wraparound care simply doesn’t work. I understand that working patterns can change, so I aim to work with families to create arrangements that genuinely fit their lives.

Please get in touch if you are looking for something specific. I am happy to consider individual childcare arrangements and contracts tailored around your family’s working patterns and your child’s needs.

I offer regular childcare, shift-worker childcare, ad hoc babysitting and emergency childcare where availability allows.

I also offer specialist babysitting for medically complex children, drawing on my paediatric nursing background and clinical experience. This is available at £25 per hour.

For children attending for a full day, breakfast and dinner are included. Parents should provide lunch. Please see the cost information for details of any additional charges.

My standard childcare is charged at a full-day rate for 9am–5pm. Hourly rates apply outside these core hours. Places are initially allocated as full days, although additional hours may be available to provide greater flexibility where required.

Funded hours are offered across a maximum 10-hour day, in line with applicable HMRC guidance and funding requirements.

Invoices are issued for all childcare. A £10 daily consumables fee applies, including to funded places. This contributes towards food options, snacks, resources, admission fees, special events, parties, groups, outings and other experiences that enhance the children’s learning and development.

FUNDED HOURS:
Monday-Friday 9-5

SHIFT WORKING:
•Hours before, or after my funded hours will be charged at an additional rate.
•Hours earlier than 8am and later than 6pm are charged at an unsociable hours rate (to be discussed).
•Overnight and weekend hours are charged at an unsociable hours rate (to be discussed).

RATES:
•Monday-Friday 9-5: £7.50 per hour
•Saturday-Sunday: £15 per hour
•Monday-Friday before 8am: £9 per hour
•Monday-Friday after 6pm: £9 per hour
•Monday-Friday after 10pm: £15 per hour
•Before School Session: £15 per hour (from 7am)
•After School Session: £15 per hour (until 5pm)
