About Me
Hi, I’m a mum of four girls with over 20 years of experience working in childcare. My background includes roles in nurseries, as a nanny, and within primary school settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of children’s development at every stage.
I have a strong focus on the EYFS and am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, explore and thrive. As both a parent and childcare professional, I understand how important it is to provide care that feels like a home away from home, while supporting each child’s individual needs and interests.
My Experience
I have a broad range of experience working with children across different settings, including nurseries, as a private nanny, and within primary schools across all year groups, with a particular focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years as well as a BA (Hons) in Learning and Teaching, which support my strong understanding of child development, learning and effective practice.
In addition, I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have completed Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training, ensuring I prioritise children’s safety, wellbeing and protection at all times.
My Qualifications
I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and a BA (Hons) in Learning and Teaching, providing me with a strong foundation in child development and education.
I am also Paediatric First Aid trained and have completed Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training, ensuring I maintain the highest standards of safety and care.
To keep my knowledge current and continue developing my practice, I regularly undertake CPD (Continuing Professional Development), allowing me to stay up to date with best practice and evolving guidance within early years and childcare.
My Availability
I offer term-time only childcare, with opening hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, providing a consistent and reliable routine for families.
I am able to offer drop-off and collection from St Peter’s C of E Primary School in Whetstone, making the school run as smooth and convenient as possible.
