Hi all!
My name is Chelsea, and I have just moved to Glasgow for my Master's from Australia.
I am an experienced tutor (Maths, English, Humanities), babysitter, youth worker and nanny with an Australian Working with Children's Check. I am the eldest sister (of four) and cousin of a big family, so I have been helping with kids all my life.
My Experience
I have accessibility training, which covers Visually Impaired training. I do not have BSL training, as in Australia we use Auslan, but I want to learn! I have also taken many youth work courses and upskilling from my time working in youth advocacy.
As a babysitter, I believe in unconditional positive regard, and believe in being a positive role model and safe space for your children.
In my time as a youth worker, I learnt key skills that will distinguish me from other babysitters. Friendly, sociable, and caring (but not friends!) is an important part of child safety training.
I love sports, reading, craft, and film, so happy to cover all bases! I have many craft skills I can teach your lovely children. I also have my international driving licence, so I can drive your children to and from activities.
