Hi, I’m Taliah! I’m 19 years old,I’ve been working with children for almost 4 years and absolutely love what I do. I have hands-on experience with ages 2–3, preschoolers, toddlers, and I also regularly care for my little cousins aged 1–8 outside of work. Supporting children as they learn, grow, and discover the world brings me so much joy, and I’m passionate about helping families feel confident and supported. I’ve completed a wide range of training, including Safeguarding, First Aid, Children’s Mental Health, Child Protection, the Early Years Foundation Stage, and Food and safety.Im also very happy helping with meals, cleaning up, doing laundry, and keeping things running smoothly at home. I always bring a friendly, positive attitude, and I’m excited to make a real difference for the families I work with!
My Experience
I began working with children at the age of 17, gaining valuable knowledge both professionally and within my own family. Looking after my younger cousins and other children in my family has given me a real insight into how little ones grow, learn, and develop at different stages. Alongside this hands-on experience, I studied childcare in college and currently hold a Level 2 qualification, with plans to progress onto my Level 3.
Throughout my work, I’ve planned a wide variety of engaging activities to support children’s learning and development, from creative play to early educational tasks. I’ve also worked 1-to-1 with children who needed extra support, helping them build confidence and improve their skills in a calm, encouraging environment. In addition, I’ve taken children on school trips and have independently taken my young cousins out during school holidays to places like fun-fairs, parks, and other fun outings. I’m confident in preparing and cooking healthy meals for children, ensuring their diets stay balanced and nutritious. Overall, my experience has helped me grow into a patient, responsible, and proactive childcare professional who truly enjoys helping children thrive.
