About Me
Hi! I'm Chara:) I'm 27 and currently a postgrad student of the department of Psychology and I love making a positive difference in peoples lives. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and positive space for children and a break for parents who need it.
My Experience
I have a genuine love for working with children and helping them grow. I did a short period of babysitting as a teenager, which first sparked my interest in childcare. Since then, I’ve taught English as a second language to children for three years, worked in a primary school - part of admin, and currently work in social care supporting individuals with diverse needs including autism, learning disabilities, anxiety and mental health challenges.
I also volunteer running support groups for SEN children, helping them build social skills, independence, and confidence through sensory play. I can use British Sign Language (BSL) and visual images to communicate with children who have limited verbal communication.
