My Experience

I have been babysitting since I was 13 and have cared for children from 10 months to 14 years old, sometimes looking after up to three at a time. I genuinely enjoy connecting with children of all ages and creating a safe, engaging and comforting environment for them. My experience includes everything from bedtime routines and playtime to creative activities, meals and helping keep the home running smoothly. I’m currently working part-time as a waitress and looking for babysitting alongside that.

My Qualifications

While I don’t hold formal childcare qualifications, I bring over a decade of experience caring for children from 10 months to 14 years. Through years of regular babysitting, I’ve developed strong skills in creating engaging activities, supporting routines, ensuring safety and keeping a calm, positive environment. I’m confident with meal prep, bedtime routines, play-based learning, creative activities and helping keep the home tidy. I also have experience managing multiple children at once and adapting to each family’s needs with reliability and care.

My Availability

I work in a restaurant on a zero-hour contract, and I’m usually scheduled for two/three days a week — typically Saturday and Sunday, plus either Friday, Thursday or occasionally Wednesday. Because I work on these days, I’m most available on the remaining weekdays for babysitting or nannying. My rota for January and February 2026 is quite light as the restaurant has plenty of staff, so I’ll have extra availability during this period. I’m open to anything from a few hours of babysitting to 2–3 weekdays of regular nannying, and I’m flexible in fitting around what works best for the family.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

I aim to keep my rates fair for families while also making sure I can cover my living costs. My standard rate is £13–£16 per hour, depending on the number of children and the level of support needed in the home. For late finishes or overtime past the agreed hours, I apply a small additional fee to reflect the extra time and flexibility. I’m always happy to discuss rates openly so that we find something that works well for everyone, and I want families to feel comfortable and supported in what they’re paying for.
