About Me
This is a single-parent household based in Poplar (E14) with three children aged 7, 6, and 2. Due to ongoing physical health difficulties, reliable and consistent childcare support is needed to help maintain daily routines for the children.
My Requirements
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence and own car (essential due to travel between locations)
Reliable, punctual, and calm
Someone able to commit to one family, rather than multiple daily drop-offs
This role may suit someone looking for a steady, consistent position
Hours Required
Approximately 20–25 hours per week of childcare support
Hours are scattered across mornings and afternoons
If additional availability is offered, extra hours can be added by agreement
Attendance:
Older two: Monday to Friday
Youngest: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Morning Routine
Children attend schools in E1
The two older children start school at 8:10am and need to leave the home at approximately 7:40am
The youngest child (age 2) attends a nursery/school one road away, starting at around 8:30am, and can be dropped off immediately after the older two
Morning commitment: approximately 2 hours
Afternoon Routine
Youngest child pick-up: 3:10pm
Older children pick-up: 3:30pm
Leaving at around 2:50pm allows both collections to be completed smoothly
Afternoon commitment: around 2 hours
Up to 3 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays
After-School Activities
On Mondays and Wednesdays, the older children attend after-school activities in Mile End
Drop-off is usually around 4:00pm after school pick-up
The activity lasts approximately one hour
Support may be for drop-off only or both drop-off and pick-up, depending on availability
Additional Care
Ensuring the children are fed
Providing after-school snacks
General supervision and care to help them settle at home
It is understood that this role involves a higher level of commitment than standard childcare arrangements, as it requires availability focused on one family. This may suit someone who is looking for a steady, predictable role and who is happy to build a consistent routine with the same children.
The family would be very grateful to hear from anyone who feels this arrangement could work for them and who is able to offer reliable, caring support during this time.
