About Me
First child expected July 2026
My Requirements
Starting to look early at options for returning to work in 2027, due to my unconventional working hours.
I work in security and work a 4 on 4 of rotation. This means finding childcare will be more difficult.
An example:
Rotation 1 - Monday 6:30-18:30, Tuesday 6:30-18:30, Wednesday 18:30-6:30, Thursday 18:30-6:30, Friday/Saturday/Sunday/ Monday off work rest days.
Rotation 2 - Tuesday 6:30-18:30, Wednesday 6:30-18:30, Thursday 18:30-6:30, Friday 18:30-6:30, Saturday/Sunday/ Monday/Tuesday off work rest days.
Rotation 3- Wednesday 6:30-18:30, Thursday 6:30-18:30, Friday 18:30-6:30, Saturday 18:30-6:30, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday off work rest days.
And so on. So as you can see my week change by one day every rotation.
My needs
Childcare 6am-7pm two days a week, followed by two overnight stays from 6pm-7am. This would include weekends as the rotation falls on them.
I’m hoping for more of a childminder set up where I can build a close and loving relationship between the caregiver and my child.
This is a long awaited for baby following years of IVF and multiple losses, and I am a single parent by choice with little in the way of family support.
I know this is a tricky routine to work around, but if you think you might be able to help, even if it’s just for the daytime child care, please do get in touch.
