About Me

We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable nanny/home helper to support our 11-year-old child, who is homeschooled and lives with anxiety and depression. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, calm under pressure, and able to provide both encouragement and emotional security throughout the day.

About the Role
Your role will involve:

Supporting our child through daily routines and learning activities (not formal teaching—just guidance and encouragement).

Providing emotional reassurance, helping them manage overwhelming feelings in a gentle and understanding way.

Planning simple, enjoyable activities that help build confidence, creativity and independence (e.g., crafts, reading, walks, cooking).

Encouraging healthy habits such as short outdoor breaks, movement, and time-away from screens.

Light household help to support a peaceful home environment (e.g., preparing snacks, tidying shared areas, organising materials).

We Are Looking for Someone Who Is:
Patient, emotionally supportive and a good listener.

Empathetic and able to build a trusting relationship with a child who may feel withdrawn at times.

Naturally calm and encouraging—not forceful or authoritative.

Understanding of mental health in children or willing to learn with guidance.

Creative in helping a child engage socially, intellectually and emotionally at their own pace.

Desirable Qualities/Experience
(Not essential — the right personality is more important!)

Experience supporting children with anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD or sensory needs.

Experience with homeschooling, tutoring, childcare or education.

First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain).

A clean DBS check (or willingness to apply).
