While I’m relatively new to formal nannying, my time as a sports coach at a local academy and babysitting my cousin has taught me exactly what families need, and my goal is to take the stress off parents by creating a calm, organized home environment where little ones feel safe to be themselves. As someone who’s first aid certified, I will make sure safety is always my top priority but also bring in my coaching energy to keep things fun, help with homework so the children feel confident in school, stick to routines so everyone knows what to expect, and even throw in a quick game of tag or soccer to get them moving. My Experience
I am passionate about creating a safe, structured, and joyful space for children to grow. While I have less than a year of formal child care experience, I’ve gained hands-on skills through volunteering as a sports coach at a local academy and babysitting my cousin for 3 months working with kids aged 5 to 10 throughout.
As a coach, I learned how to keep little ones engaged, encourage teamwork, and stay calm even in busy moments. Babysitting my cousin gave me practice with daily routines, from helping with homework to making sure they stayed on track with tasks.
My Qualifications
I hold a current first aid certificate and current DBS check, have hands-on experience with 5-10 year olds through volunteering as a sports coach and babysitting my cousin (learning to manage groups, support daily needs, and keep kids engaged), and previously worked in a care home’s admin office arranging files and updating client/worker information developing strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of confidentiality that translate to keeping children’s routines on track and handling family information professionally. I also have GCSEs in English and maths to support homework, have built strong safeguarding awareness through both roles, and bring key skills including calmness, reliability, clear communication, and the ability to keep kids active, while being dedicated to growing in this role and open to further professional development.
My Availability
I will only be available after school on Mondays and Tuesdays during school sessions. During the holidays or half term I will be very flexible and available most days at any time. I will be available on few Saturdays but during school sessions and holidays.
