Hi! My name is Luanna and I am 20 years old I’m trying to gain some experience in childcare and general care, I am currently based in Weldon Northamptonshire.
I have always enjoyed care roles as I find them so rewarding, I previously was a carer for my late grandmother who was the light of my life but this taught me a lot and made me realise this is something I want to progress into a career. I understand I don’t have the qualifications most of you are looking for but I have attached my cv with previous experience and I would love to have a chat if you are interested.
My Experience
I provided full-time care and support for my grandmother, which required a high level of responsibility, patience, and compassion. My role involved ensuring her safety and wellbeing at all times, assisting with daily routines, preparing meals, providing companionship, and responding calmly to her needs. I developed strong communication skills, learned to be attentive and proactive, and built a deep understanding of how to care for someone who relies on you for comfort and security.
This experience strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, be dependable, and provide nurturing, attentive care — skills that I would bring directly into a babysitting role.
