My Experience

I have almost 20 years of professional childcare experience, having worked with the same family throughout that time. When I first joined the family, I was the weekend nanny caring for three children under the age of three. As the children grew, my role naturally developed to meet the family’s changing needs. Following the middle child’s diagnosis of autism, I trained as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Tutor and provided support both at home and in school. I worked closely with the family, teachers and other professionals to help develop communication, independence, emotional regulation and everyday life skills. Supporting the children as they grew up has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career and has given me a strong understanding of how important consistency, patience and building trusting relationships are. I enjoy creating fun, nurturing environments where children feel safe, happy and confident to be themselves.
