About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren a caring and reliable childminder and mum of three children aged 9, 7 and 1. Being a parent myself has given me hands-on experience with babies through to school-age children, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel their child is safe, happy and well cared for.
I have worked for the NHS for the past 10 years, which has given me strong skills in safeguarding, responsibility and working in a caring, professional environment. I am currently in the process of becoming Ofsted registered and plan to be fully up and running by April 2026.
I hold a DBS check, and my partner, who lives with me, is also DBS checked. I am currently completing my Paediatric First Aid training to ensure I can provide safe and confident care at all times.
My aim is to provide a warm, home-from-home setting where children feel secure, valued and encouraged to learn through play. I offer a calm, nurturing environment with age-appropriate activities, routines and lots of care and attention.

My Experience
Although I haven’t worked in a formal childcare setting before, I’m a mum of three (9, 7 and 1) and have 10 years’ experience working for the NHS. My parenting experience — combined with professional training and a strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and teamwork from the NHS — means I provide safe, organised and nurturing care. I hold a DBS check (my partner is DBS checked too), I’m completing Paediatric First Aid training, and I’m in the process of becoming Ofsted registered (operational by April 2026). I focus on routines, age-appropriate play, healthy meals and one-to-one attention.
My home has a fully equipped play room with a separate area for messy play and meal times. I have a large secure garden that is fully equipped for children of all ages to learn and play.

When I’ve finished my course I will be fully ofsted registered.
