About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren a caring and reliable childminder and mum of three children aged 9, 7 and 1. Being a parent myself has given me hands-on experience with babies through to school-age children, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel their child is safe, happy and well cared for.
My setting is all about providing children with fun, enriching experiences and opportunities to learn through exploration. We spend our days out and about, enjoying a wide range of outings including playgroups, forest school sessions, farm parks, local parks, libraries, and community activities. These experiences help children build confidence, develop social skills, and learn about the world around them in a hands-on and engaging way.
I currently have a lovely group of children who enjoy learning, playing, and discovering together. We create a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Experience
Although I haven’t worked in a formal childcare setting before, I’m a mum of three (9, 7 and 1) and have 10 years’ experience working for the NHS. My parenting experience — combined with professional training and a strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and teamwork from the NHS — means I provide safe, organised and nurturing care. I hold a DBS check (my partner is DBS checked too), I’m completing Paediatric First Aid training, and I’m in the process of becoming Ofsted registered (operational by April 2026). I focus on routines, age-appropriate play, healthy meals and one-to-one attention.
My home has a fully equipped play room with a separate area for messy play and meal times. I have a large secure garden that is fully equipped for children of all ages to learn and play.

- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
