My Summary
Registered Midwife – Overnight Postnatal & Newborn Care (London)
About Me
I am a registered midwife with over 10 years’ experience, offering overnight postnatal and newborn care for families in the early weeks after birth. I currently hold a senior/management role within the NHS, which reflects my level of clinical experience, leadership, and decision-making.
My role is different from standard childcare or babysitting. I provide professional, clinical support overnight, allowing parents to rest while knowing their baby and postnatal recovery are being monitored by a highly experienced healthcare professional. I work calmly, discreetly, and respectfully within the home.
My Experience
I have over 10 years’ experience practising as a registered midwife, with a strong background in postnatal and newborn care. My work includes newborn observations, recognising early signs of clinical concern, supporting breast, bottle and mixed feeding, and providing maternal wellbeing checks and reassurance.
Alongside hands-on clinical care, I hold a senior leadership role within the NHS, supporting and supervising other midwives and contributing to safe, high-quality care delivery. I am confident working independently overnight and escalating appropriately when required.
My Qualifications
I am a Registered Midwife with over 10 years’ experience, currently working in a senior/management role within the NHS. I am fully registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold an enhanced DBS check.
I am professionally insured through the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) to provide private postnatal care and maintain continuous professional development (CPD) in line with regulatory standards. My training includes safeguarding, basic life support, newborn and advanced life support, and breastfeeding support and education.
My Availability
My availability varies week to week due to existing professional and NHS commitments. I primarily offer overnight support, including evenings and nights. Availability is updated regularly, and I encourage families to message with their required dates and times so I can confirm availability as early as possible.
