About Me
Hello, my name is Katherine. I am a pending OFSTED registration visit to be a childminder based in Southminster, offering a nurturing, flexible, and hands-on learning environment where children can thrive.
About My Childcare
My home has a strong focus on outdoor and experimental learning. We regularly visit our three local allotments, where the children enjoy growing fruit and vegetables and learning where food comes from. Cooking is a big part of our routine too — we often make snacks and bread from scratch, and the children love getting involved.
Experienced & Inclusive Care
I am highly experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and additional medical needs. I have extensive practical experience, patience, and understanding, which allows me to confidently support children with a wide range of individual needs.
Flexible Days & Hours
I am extremely flexible with days and hours and can accommodate evenings and weekends. I can additionally offer spaces for EYFS, spaces for home-educated children (max 18hrs a week), breakfast club and also holiday cover for those who need childcare during school holidays.
Qualifications & Safety
I have completed the Designated lead safeguarding training courses. I hold OFSTED approved childminding qualifications, EYFS training, Food Hygiene Level 2, and have recently attended a full Paediatric First Aid course, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
I pride myself on offering a calm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I would love to welcome your child into my setting.
My Experience
As a childminder, one of the biggest responsibilities is keeping the children in my care safe — and that means being fully prepared for both everyday situations and medical emergencies.
I have completed a full Paediatric First Aid course, along with additional specialist medical training to ensure I can confidently support children with a wide range of needs.
My additional training includes:
• Epilepsy and seizure awareness
• Autism awareness
• Nebulisers and respiratory care
• NG and PEG feeding
• Moving and handling
• Safe medication administration
• Infection prevention and control
• Life support training
• Choking response
• Anaphylaxis awareness and response
This training allows me to provide a safe, calm, and knowledgeable environment, and to respond quickly and appropriately if a child ever needs medical support.
I believe parents deserve complete peace of mind when leaving their child in someone else’s care, and I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and ongoing learning.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My fees will be £7 an hour which is inclusive of all food, drinks, snacks, sun cream and outings.
