My Experience

Over the past six summers, I’ve worked as a cabin leader at summer camps, leading a group of around 12 kids each year. It’s been an incredible experience not just organizing activities or keeping schedules, but really getting to know each child, understanding what makes them tick, and helping them grow in confidence.

From quiet moments of one-on-one support to managing group dynamics, conflicts, and big emotions, I’ve learned how to build trust quickly and create a safe, fun environment where kids feel heard and respected. Watching kids tackle challenges, make friends, and light up when they try something new has been deeply rewarding and has taught me patience, adaptability, and genuine care.

I take pride in being reliable and responsible, parents and campers alike know they can trust me to keep their kids safe, happy, and engaged. This hands-on experience, combined with my enthusiasm and positive energy makes me a great fit for any childcare role!

My Qualifications

Completed high-level GCSEs in History, Philosophy, Psychology, English, Media, Video Production, and Law.
Completed the first year of a Psychology degree at the University of Calgary, Canada, before travelling.
Certified in First Aid, with practical experience in emergency response and child safety.
Lifeguard trained, experienced in supervising children in swimming and water-based activities.
Extensive hands-on experience leading groups of children as a summer camp cabin leader for six years, developing skills in child development, communication, and building trust.
