About Me
Hello, I’m Samantha (Sam), the person behind Busy Bees & Butterflies. Becoming a Childminder has been a lifelong ambition, and after starting my journey in October 2025, I achieved CIW registration in July 2026. Caring for children is something that has always felt natural to me, and I’m dedicated to completing all the training needed to ensure your child’s safety and wellbeing.
I’m a mum of three—my wonderful daughter and two energetic boys—so I understand the importance of creating a warm, calm, and engaging environment. I’m full of energy, love to be creative, and enjoy baking, crafting, and exploring the outdoors. These are activities I can’t wait to share with the children in my care.
Alongside childminding, I’m a qualified Girl guiding leader and help run a local Brownies unit, where I support young girls to grow, learn, and shine.
My Experience
I have previous experience working with young children, especially during my time while gaining my level 2 qualification.
During my time away from a nursery setting, I become a mum, and have loved bringing up my 3 children with my husband.
I have ran a Baby and Toddler group from April 2022 to April 2026, supported by my friend.
I have a large family outside of my home life that include many children, so have had many opportunities to use my skills and qualifications. I am always happy to learn new things and take on adventures.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 2
Working on my Level 3 with city and guilds through Coram Pacey.
I will have a New pediatrics first aid qualification, DBS check, Safeguarding qualification and Level 2 food hygiene certificate before opening.
