I’m currently on maternity leave with my second child who has just turned 6 months - I also have an 8 year old and additionally two step-children who are with us weekends only. My husband works long hours therefore I’m hoping to find a Mother’s helper to assist with my little one and allow me to catch up on sleep/tasks etc during the week!
My Requirements
I’m looking for a kind, calm, reliable mother’s helper to support me with my 6-month-old baby on a part-time basis.
I am the baby’s primary carer and am neurodivergent (autistic and ADHD), so I’m looking for someone who is patient, non-judgemental, and comfortable with supporting a parent who may be present but needs breaks.
The role would involve:
• Helping care for my baby (holding, soothing, playing, going for walks)
• Allowing me time to rest, reset, or attend to basic needs
• Light baby-related tasks only (no housework)
This is not a “leave the baby and go” role, I will often be at home, but not always actively parenting during those hours.
Experience with babies and a calm approach are very important. Experience with neurodivergent families is a bonus but not required.
Initially looking for approximately 8 hours per week with the possibility of continuing longer-term once my maternity period ends.
