About Me
My name is Molly McCaughey and I am a 23 year old pioneer who has completed a university degree and spent the last two years working in childcare where I have found my passion. I have a strong love for animals and my own hobbies such as horse riding and running. I love the outdoors, going on hikes and walks and would love to incorporate this into my job. I love working with children and have a true love for being a key part in their development and watching them learn and grow gives me a high sense of pride that I was able to be apart of that.
My Experience
I have two years experience as a special educational needs classroom assistant in both a secondary and primary school with children with ranging special and educational needs from ages 4-18. This experience allowed me to be able to cope with and understand the needs of the individual child while also being responsible for up to thirty children at a time. I have experience in planning suitable activities that adhere to children's specific interests and sensory needs.
I further have experience working in a nursery which has allowed me great experience in being able to adapt quickly in high pressure situations to ensure the safety and happiness of the child is at the forefront. I gained skills such as patience, compassion and time management and maintaining a clean and tidy environment. This has allowed me to find my passion and love for caring for children.
My Qualifications
I have a total of 10 GCSE'S including a C in maths, A in English literature and Language and a B in science. I have three A-levels, including a A* in English literature, A* in Business Studies and a A in history.
I have completed a undergraduate university degree at Queens University Belfast in History, getting a 2:1.
