About Me
We are a family of 4 including Mum (Me), Dad, Daughter (13) and Son (8). Both children are neurodiverse and wonderful with it, but the right person for us would need to take the time to really get to know them both and their individual personalities as they take a while to settle in to new people and changes.
We are a friendly family looking for a kind, calm, and reliable after-school carer to support our two children in their home environment.
This role would suit someone who understands that some children are very tired after the school day and benefit from quiet, supportive care at home rather than busy group settings.
My Requirements
- After-school care 3 days each week (exact days to be confirmed, may be different each week)
- School pick-up for one 8 year old child from Olney
- Care provided in our home in Bozeat
- Support with snacks, downtime, and a calm transition after school
- On Mondays, taking our eldest to her regular dance class
- Occasional light supervision until early evening
About the children:
- Both children are school-aged (13 & 8)
- Our youngest finds busy after-school environments overwhelming and copes best with calm, one-to-one care at home
- Our eldest enjoys dance and benefits from consistent routines and support. She gets the bus home from school and is generally very independent.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is OFSTED registered (essential – required for Universal Credit)
- Has experience with children, ideally including SEN awareness
- Is calm, patient, and nurturing
- Is reliable and consistent
- Is happy working in a family home environment
- Has a clean driving licence and own car (preferred, for school pick-up and activities)
