About Me

Hi, I’m Alex, the childminder behind The Little Nest Childminding in Glenrothes. ??
I’m a mum myself, so I know just how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with your little one. My aim is to provide the kind of childcare I would want for my own children – warm, nurturing, relaxed and full of opportunities to play, explore and simply be themselves.
The Little Nest is a home-from-home setting where children are cared for in a small, family environment. I believe young children learn best through play, so our days are shaped around their individual interests and curiosity rather than a rigid timetable. We enjoy messy and creative play, sensory experiences, stories, music, outdoor adventures, trips to local parks and plenty of opportunities to explore our community.
I love getting to know each child as an individual – discovering the little things that make them laugh, what captures their attention and how they like to learn. I then use those interests to gently extend their play and development at their own pace.
I also really value building a close relationship with parents. I want you to feel comfortable talking to me, asking questions and sharing the things that are important to your family. Starting childcare is a big step, and settling in is always approached gently and individually.
Above all, I want children to walk through my door feeling safe, happy and excited to spend their day at The Little Nest – a place where little minds grow and big hearts thrive. ??
