Looking For An After School Bedtime Nanny 3 Days A Week
About Me
We are small family of three (will be 4 from October) with a sweet little girl who will be 20 months in June. She is happy and energetic, loves painting, puzzles and building blocks.
My Requirements
We are looking for a warm, loving and playful nanny to join our family and help with our daughter Charlie, who will be 20 months old.
Charlie is a happy, curious toddler who loves playing, reading books and exploring. We’re hoping to find someone kind, reliable and engaging who will enjoy becoming part of our family routine.
Hourly rate: £16–£20 per hour depending on experience.
We are located a 10-minute walk from Walton-on-Thames station, and driveway parking is also available.
June – October
The role will involve collecting Charlie from nursery (a 14-minute walk from our home), bringing her home, playing with her and helping with her evening routine and bedtime.
Hours:
• Wednesday: 17:30 – 21:00
• Thursday: 17:30 – 21:00
• Friday: 17:30 – 20:00 (sometimes finishing earlier, around 19:30)
On Fridays, Dad works from home and will often do bedtime when possible. If Mum is home, she will usually do bath and bedtime, and the nanny would mainly assist Mum with cooking and toddler-related household tasks.
Mum works as a private chef, and during weeks when the family she works for travels she may be home more and the nanny may finish earlier. Unfortunately these weeks sometimes come with little notice, however you will always be paid for your full scheduled hours even if you finish early.
Once Charlie is asleep, we would appreciate help with light household tasks, such as:
• Folding laundry
• Emptying/loading the dishwasher
• Preparing a simple family meal
• Tidying toys and doing a general house reset after toddler chaos
These tasks are light and mainly related to keeping the house running smoothly around the children. We also have cleaners who come regularly, so the role does not involve heavy cleaning.
The nanny is very welcome to enjoy the dinner they prepare if they would like to.
We may also be a little flexible with hours in July and August, as Mum sometimes has additional time off work during this period.
From October
We will be welcoming our second baby, and Mum will be on maternity leave. At this stage the role will become more flexible, and we will no longer require late evenings.
Help may include:
• Supporting with the two children while Mum is home
• Holding the newborn while Mum showers or spends time with Charlie
• Helping with baby laundry or light household tasks
• Keeping play areas tidy and helping reset the house after the day
Days and hours from October can be agreed with the right candidate, and daytime hours may be available, with the possibility of additional hours if the nanny would like them.
We are a relaxed and respectful household and value open communication. We would love to find someone kind, calm and proactive who enjoys working with young children and would like to build a long-term relationship with our family.
