Lily
Nanny in Taunton
My Summary
About Me
I’m warm, caring, and patient with a genuine love for working with children. I’ve always been drawn to early years and supporting children to grow in confidence, independence, and happiness. I’m calm by nature and enjoy creating a nurturing, secure environment where children feel safe, and encouraged to be themselves.
I love spending time outdoors, going on little adventures, and planning age appropriate activities. Whether that’s messy play at home, trips to the park or library visits etc. I enjoy helping children experience the world around them in a fun and meaningful way.
I’m confident supporting children within their home environment and understand how important it is to follow family routines, values, and parenting styles.
Above all, my priority is always the wellbeing of the children in my care, and supporting them to feel happy, secure, and able to thrive.
My Experience
I’m 24 and have been working with children since the age of 17. I began my career by completing a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification in a primary school, where I worked with children aged 5–6 in Year 1 and 6-7 in Year 2. During this time, I supported small groups of children who needed additional help with learning, helping them build confidence and understanding in a calm and encouraging way.
Following this, I completed a Level 3 Early Years qualification and began working in a pre-school setting, which is where I discovered my passion for working with younger children. I have remained in this setting for several years, gaining a wide range of experience across early childhood development.
After completing my Level 3, I went on to achieve a Level 3 SENCO qualification and became the SENCO within my setting. In this role I supported children with a wide range of additional needs. I worked closely with families, completed referrals, and collaborated with external professionals to ensure children received the right support to reach their full potential.
Since November 2024 I have also taken on the role of Deputy Manager, where I support the day to day running of the pre-school. This includes leading the room, supporting staff, and setting up engaging learning activities tailored to different developmental stages, and ensuring learning aligns with the EYFS.
Alongside my professional experience, I regularly babysit for a close friend and have hands on experience caring for babies and very young children. I’m comfortable supporting routines, naps, play, and early development in a home setting.
While I’ve loved my time working in an early years setting, I would like to develop my experience in a different environment. I would like a nannying role where I can build a close, trusting relationship with a family and support children within their own home environment.
