Registered Childminder Job in Chigwell
About Me
Hi! We’re a British-Japanese family living in Chigwell and have a little boy, Kaito, born in July 2026.
We’re currently exploring childcare options for when I return to work, likely from around September 2027. We’re considering both nursery and childminder arrangements and would love to find someone kind, experienced and reliable who Kaito can build a genuine bond with.
Kaito is growing up in a bilingual English-Japanese household. I speak Japanese with him and my husband speaks English, so we’d be especially interested in hearing from Japanese-speaking childminders, although this is definitely not essential.
We’re looking for someone who creates a warm, calm and stimulating environment, with plenty of play, reading, outdoor time and age-appropriate activities. A home-from-home atmosphere is really important to us, especially while he’s still little.
My Requirements
Ideally, we’re looking for childcare around 2–3 days per week, although we’re still working out our exact schedule and can be flexible for the right person.
We’d particularly value someone who is:
* Ofsted registered
* Experienced with babies and toddlers
* Warm, affectionate and responsive
* Happy to provide regular updates during the day
* Comfortable with naps, meals and changing routines as Kaito grows
* Able to provide references
* Based reasonably close to Chigwell / IG7
We’d love to meet local childminders, visit their setting and learn more about their daily routine, activities, meals, outings and approach to settling-in.
