My Experience

Babysitting: Thought out my experience I had to make lunch for the children, engage in various activities such as painting, walks to the park and arts and crafts. As well as supervising the children watching out for any potential dangers. Nursery assistant:
Parkhill Prep School- On a Monday at 9am I would go into the nursery and I was required to help assisting the children in groups and or 1-1.1 help them with basic maths skills along with english, art and role play building their development. Later on though out the day I would have to read the children stories and
listen to the children read to me. Youth Volunteer:
During this period of time I did 2 days a week for 2 hours in a youth centre helping out for 3 weeks. I was based in the junior centre which is ages 8-11 years old. My role was to help the children with any homework they had, play games such as pool, darts, basketball & we also had fun activities to do with the children such as making smoothies with them or small snacks for them. While having fun with the children we also had to make sure all safeguarding measures were in place at al times such as keeping certain doors locked for safety, keeping an eye on the children to make sure they aren't wondering off and checking the cameras to see who is at the door of the building.

My Qualifications

Level 2 Certification in Early years, Level 2 Certification in health & social care, Level 3 Diploma in health & social care.
