My Summary

My Experience

I have a younger brother with cerebral Paulsy whom i grew up with.

I first worked with children as an environmental education officer at a whaling museum teaching children about the ocean, its inhabitants, particularly cetaceans and pollution in 2008 to 2010. I then went onto having various jobs working with children, including the pizza making party organizer at Pizza Express in 2012 to 2014.

I then decided i wanted to get into education and became a teaching assistant at Dartmouth Academy in 2016/17. I gained experience working with many children of varying needs including a boy with cerebral Paulsy whom needed physio exercises done everyday. I loved this job so wanted to become a secondary science teacher as I always loved teaching.

I was a secondary science teacher for 5 years between 2017/18 and 2022/23 in inclusive state schools where I taught hundreds of children with varying capabilities and needs from high performing A students to classes with student having very complex needs to EAL students.

I have also have experience babysitting various friend's and family's children throughout my adult years.

My Qualifications

I have the following qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in marine biology. - Universidade dos Azores
MSC in Marine biology- Bangor University
PGCE in secondary science education -Plymouth University

And other random ones from other endeavours like diving courses and computer literacy.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

I charge this due to my confidence in delivering the highest quality care, but aware that it can get expensive as the hours accumulate. For babysitting longer than 2 hours, i reduce the rate to £10 for every hour after the second.
