About Me
My name is Jacqueline and I own and run Wild Child Childminding by Jacqueline since 2007. I'm a fully qualified childminder and Forest Kindergarten practitioner based in Denny, Stirlingshire.
I offer child minding to parents in the local areas of Denny, Dunipace, Head of Muir and Bonnybridge and further afield as required (e.g. Stirling, Falkirk). NOW AN OFFICIAL PARTNER PROVIDER OF FALKIRK COUNCIL, PROVIDING FUNDED EARLY LEARNING AND CHILDCARE PLACES.
I have a dedicated playroom that is designed to provide a Hygge approach and simulate natural curiosity within the children with the toys and treasure I provide. I have a keen passion for the outdoors and at every opportunity enjoy taking the child minding children on outdoor adventures to explore their environment and meet with another Forest Kindergarten trained childminder to allow us to use all our skills to give the children the best outdoor experiences possible.
It is my firm belief that each child is an individual in their own right and should be allowed to express themselves in a fun, child-centred environment. I implement Loose Parts Play with The Curiosity Approach mixed with traditional play. I create the opportunity and environment to nurture a child's incredible imagination to help a child's creativity to think...not what to think.
My Experience
Over the last 30 years, I have gained plenty of experience in childcare, not only from being a mother, but in a professional capacity as well.
I have been a childminder for 16 years now, during which I've looked after children of a variety of ages and stages from 6 weeks old to teenagers.
I have also had previous experience working as a nanny in America looking after 3 toddlers; and in Italy nannying for a new born baby. Beyond this I have previously been employed as a nursery assistant for a community nursery. I was also the founder and leader of a community toddler group.
I also have a professional qualification related specifically to childcare provision (SVQ3 in Social Care Children and young people). Forest Kindergarten trained (SCQF Level 7)

My Availability
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday: 8am - 5.30pm, however I can offer flexibility outside of these hours in discussion with parent/guardian.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
An official partner provider of Falkirk Council, you can use all or part of your 1140 hour allocation of funded early learning and childcare entitlement with my service.
I also accept childcare voucher scheme payments
Tax credits accepted
Fees can be calculated annually to spread the cost
I offer daily rates and hourly rates(minimum hours required)

We couldn’t recommend Jacqueline highly enough. She looked after our son for several years before he started school, and choosing her was one of the best decisions we made.
We specifically chose Jacqueline over a traditional nursery setting because of how much time she spends outdoors. The children go on amazing little adventures, explore new places, meet other children and experience so much of the world around them. They are constantly learning and developing, but in a way that feels like fun and play rather than “learning”.
Our son absolutely loved his time with Jacqueline and came home with so many stories about the things they had been doing. She creates such a lovely, nurturing environment where the children feel safe, happy and encouraged to be curious.
It gave us huge peace of mind knowing he was spending his early years having such varied experiences, getting plenty of fresh air and making wonderful memories. We’re so grateful for everything Jacqueline did for him and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a caring, adventurous and genuinely fantastic childminder.

Jaqueline has provided excellent care to my son for 3 years. She takes the children out to parks and play centres every day. She caters to each child’s individual needs and is kind and caring.

Jacqueline looked after my child from 8 months until school age. She provided a safe, happy environment where my child was nurtured and cared for. My child was provided with a huge variety of learning and social opportunities in real life settings. Jacqueline makes excellent use of the outdoors. My child developed her risk taking, problem solving and communication skills through the activities Jacqueline planned. I chose blended learning so my child had 3 days with Jacqueline and 2 in local ELC. Jacqueline provided the school with detailed information about my child before she started Primary 1. Jacqueline took her to transition events at her school on a weekly basis.
I have no hesitation in recommending Jacqueline. She is friendly, welcoming and supportive. She is very aware of child development. My child definitely benefited from the small group setting where she received a high level of adult interaction. My child was able to explore her own interests and develop her learning in a way she wouldn’t have had she been in nursery setting full time. I would have asked Jacqueline to do before and after school had we stayed in the same area. My child still has a lovely relationship with Jacqueline and says that Jacqueline is one of the important adults in her life.
