My Requirements

Looking for an experienced, warm and engaged nanny to care for our 2-year-old daughter and provide light housekeeping support around the childcare. Our daughter attends pre-school each weekday morning, so this role starts in the early afternoon. Childcare is the priority of this role, with household support fitted around it. We anticipate this role growing to full-time from early 2027, so we'd love to find someone open to that progression.

Childcare responsibilities
- Warm, engaged and attentive afternoon care for our daughter
- Age-appropriate activities and play — park trips, playdates, simple learning activities
- Supporting healthy routines around nap and bedtime
- Preparing meals and snacks for our daughter
- Keeping her play areas, bedroom and belongings tidy
- Occasional evening/weekend babysitting (paid separately, by arrangement)

Household responsibilities (light housekeeping)
- Children's and family laundry (washing, folding)
- General tidying and organising — fridge, cupboards, wardrobes
- Light vacuuming and everyday tidiness
- Cooking simple meals for the family when time allows (a bonus, not essential)

This is light housekeeping, not deep cleaning — household tasks fit around nap time and preschool hours, and childcare always takes priority when our daughter is present.

We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced with toddlers, warm and genuinely engaged in play
- Calm and adaptable when routines shift
- Proactive — brings ideas and activities rather than waiting to be directed
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Organised, reliable and professional
- Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of our home
- Non-smoker

Essential requirements:
- Strong references
- Enhanced DBS
- Paediatric First Aid
- Right to work in the UK

Role details:
- Start date: September 2026
- Salary: £23–25 gross per hour
- Hours: 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 1pm–7pm (some flexibility of ±1 hour on start/end time for the right candidate)
- Location: St John's Wood, NW8
