About me

Hello, my name is Monika. I am a childcare professional with over 20 years of experience working with children in the UK, and I have recently moved to Cheltenham.

Early Years has been a very important part of my life and, above all, a real passion of mine. I started my career as a childminder in London, where I built a successful childcare business, and later opened my own small nursery as a family-run business. The nursery is still operating today, although I am currently in the process of selling the business as I feel ready for a new, less demanding chapter in my life.

Over the years, I have worked extensively with babies and young children through to Reception age. I have experience not only in caring for children, but also in supporting their development, planning activities, working with parents and meeting individual needs, including SEND.

I hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and a Level 3 SENCO qualification, as well as a Master's degree in Psychology, with a strong interest in child development. I have also spent many years working as a SENCO in an Early Years setting.

Although I am now looking for a more flexible way of working, I would really like to remain connected with young children. Being around children is something I genuinely enjoy, and I find the honesty, curiosity and joy they bring incredibly rewarding. I especially love spending time with younger children and supporting them as they explore the world, develop their confidence and become more independent.

I am calm, patient, warm and responsible, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable and confident about the person caring for their child. As a parent myself, I know that leaving your child with someone else requires a great deal of trust — and I would always treat that responsibility with the same care and attention I would want for my own child.

I can offer not only many years of practical childcare experience, but also knowledge of child development, Early Years education and SEND, together with lots of energy, enthusiasm and genuine care for children.

I would be very happy to support a family with regular childcare, occasional babysitting, school/nursery pick-ups or simply spending quality, educational and enjoyable time with your little ones.
