About Me

Hi,
My name is Elina, and we are a multicultural & multilingiul family of 3 + a small dog.
We currently live in Finland but are moving to London in summer as my husband Timur started a new job. We have lived in London before, so it's a familiar place.

We are currently looking for a childminder near Blackhorse Road, for irregular hours between 29. June - 17. July, and potentially between 17. - 28. August.

Our son is 2.5 years old, he is very social, warms up to people quickly, and a very active little kid. He has been going to daycare in Finland and his primary language is Finnish. His dad speaks Russian to him, which he understands perfectly as well but speaks less, and he's regularly been in English-speaking environments (my husband and I also speak English between each other) so he understands it quite well but doesn't really speak it yet. We also have German as a less frequent but still regular family language, so he's familiar with that too. (I did say we're multicultural and multilingual!)

Of course if you happen to understand Finnish/be able to speak Finnish or Russian, that would be amazing, but we think our son would quickly adapt to an English speaking environment too - he is currently very actively gobbling up new words in all the languages he hears.

I'm still a little unfamiliar with the UK system for finding childminders, so bear with me please! In the meantime, please feel free to contact me for more information.
