Martha
Babysitter in Liverpool
My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Martha Patton and I am 22 years old living in Liverpool. I am currently a university student at Liverpool John Moore's University in my 3rd year studying Mental Health nursing, which I absolutely love and cannot wait to be qualified. Before this I also did sociology and criminology but made the change to become a nurse.
In my free time I love to read and watch films, and enjoy leaving reviews just as much after finishing them. I also have played tennis since I was 4 and still enjoy to play at club level, especially doubles, football is also a big part of my life. I support Arsenal (no I am not from Liverpool originally, I am from London), and try to go to games with my dad when I can.
My Experience
I did babysitting for multiple families, when I was at school for different families who had children ranging from 4-11, and I enjoyed doing it so much (even to the point where I would cancel my own plans to babysit). In 2024 I also worked at a childrens summer camp in America, where there were children ranging from 6-17. I was a tennis coach as well as a camp counsellor where I was looking after girls 14-16 in my cabin, ensuring they were looked after and enjoying their time. We spent all hours together, from making sure they were all awake in time to attend breakfast, went to their activites during the day and were all ready for bed in the evening. We were together pretty much 24 hours of the day, and it was such a good experience on looking after children, and helped me to understand how best to look after them. During the day when coaching tennis it also allowed me to work with children of all ages.
Studying mental health nursing, also has taught me a fountain of knowledge when it comes to physical and emotional health. I am first aid trained, and complete Basic life skills and CPR training every year. I also have a DBS to complete nursing.
I also do multiple placements every year as a student nurse, and had the opportunity to have a 4 week placement at SPACE in Chester, which is a soft play for SEN children. This experience led to understanding SEN children more and allowed me to gain skills. I also achieved my level 1 in tennis coaching, which meant I assisted in coaching at my old tennis club, which included our Learning disability groups (those lessons were always the ones I look forward to most).
