Nanny in Canterbury (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am an experienced nanny with over 10 years of childcare experience including long-term roles with individual families and care for multiple children at once of varying ages. I am currently seeking a long-term position with a family I can build a trusting and evolving relationship with, though I am also happy to help with one-time or last-minute care when needed.
I am an international student from Long Beach, California, currently studying Modern Foreign Languages and Culture at the University of Kent with the goal of becoming a teacher and writer. As the oldest daughter of four children, caring for others has always been a natural part of my life and something that I truly enjoy.
In my free time, I love making music, reading, cooking and spending time outdoors. I'm passionate about working with families and supporting children as they learn, grow, and gain confidence.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including after-school programs, long-term nanny positions, and private childcare arranged through Care and word of mouth.
For five years, I worked closely with one family caring for three girls of varying ages, including a child with ADHD. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I provided full-time support, helping manage virtual learning, develop daily routines, and accompany the children to extracurricular activities. I also prepared two nutritious meals per day, following principles from a child nutrition training program I completed.
Across all roles, I prioritize creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment while adapting to each child’s individual needs.
