About Me

Hello, I’m Char – an experienced and passionate childcare professional relocating to Perranporth this summer,I grew up in Cornwall and am excited to support families from September as a childminder.

I’m Ofsted registered, fully qualified, insured, and paediatric first aid trained, with over 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I currently work as a childminder and accept funded childcare hours, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, supported, and able to thrive.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to work in a variety of roles, from nannying for high-end families and being Deputy Manager of a nursery, to founding and running my own messy play company. More recently, I’ve been childminding while raising my two young boys, Otto and Iggy, which has deepened my understanding of children’s individual needs and family life.

I’m especially passionate about outdoor learning, messy play, and creative, hands-on activities, as I truly believe children learn best through play, exploration, and having fun. I support each child with patience, positivity, and lots of encouragement to help them grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.

I’m really looking forward to sharing my experience, enthusiasm, and caring approach with families in the Perranporth area.
