About Me
Hi, I’m Amy, a registered childminder in Aberdeen offering a warm, safe and home from home childcare setting.
I provide play based, child led care, following children’s interests through fun activities, Spotlight Topics and Outdoor Explorers. We enjoy lots of outdoor play, creative activities and local outings to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
I follow Scottish early years guidance, including Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence and the SHANARRI wellbeing indicators.
I’m also a mum to two young boys, which helps me understand how important it is for parents to feel confident their child is happy, safe and well cared for.

My Experience
I have completed four college childcare courses (see qualifications section), which provided me with a wide range of placements in different childcare settings and valuable hands-on experience with children of various ages.
Alongside this, I have worked as a carer for adults with learning disabilities for over 10 years. This role has strengthened my understanding of individual needs, inclusion, communication and providing consistent, compassionate care.
This combined experience helps me offer a patient, nurturing and inclusive childcare setting, where every child is supported as an individual.

SVQ Social Services and Healthcare – SCQF Level 7
I also keep up to date with mandatory training, including Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and other relevant professional development to ensure the highest standards of care.
My Availability
Opening hours:
Monday – Thursday
7:30am – 4:30pm
Current availability:
I currently have one space available for an under 5 year old on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting September.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.50 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Kirkhill School
