My Experience

I’ve been working in my role as a children’s residential support worker since October 2025. This role is through york council, my work there is extremely flexible and can work around any hours :) Within this job i have gained huge knowledge and confidence working night shifts, day shifts and waking nights. I support all the young people there with cooking, cleaning, mental health crisis, homework, trips, family contact, sleeping, medication, friendships, first aid, games and safeguarding. I also have experience working with children with autism and severe mental health conditions. The children at my current work place range from 14-18 years old, new young people come to live in the home often. I also have experience working with younger children from as young as 3. I also helped to raise my younger brother who has just turned 7! My previous jobs have all been with primary school aged children. Including, working in soft play, working in a children’s theme park and a children’s trampoline park :)
I have an in date DBS that i will share with you and have attended in person training sessions of first aid and handling medication for young people.

I have a nurturing approach with all young people i work with, accommodating my approach depending on the level of need :)
I’m always open and honest, a rule follower and give off a relaxed bubbly approach!! I’m always up for entertaining, educating, or giving space when needed! :)

I’ve also given interviews in West offices for the council to hire social workers and advocates for young people!

My Fees

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour

I can be flexible with fees. I understand it’s a difficult time for everybody especially families so i will try accommodate accordingly!
