Maymun
Babysitter in London: Tower Hamlets
My Summary
About Me
My name is Maymun Diriye and I am a dedicated and organised childcare professional currently working as a nanny. I am patient, adaptable, and enjoy supporting children’s development through play and learning. I communicate effectively and handle responsibilities in a mature and reliable way.
I enjoy creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to learn and grow. I am reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children.
I have been working with children for around five years and have three years of experience babysitting and nannying. I enjoy helping children grow in confidence, develop their communication skills, and explore the world around them.
I speak both English and Somali, which allows me to communicate with families from different backgrounds.
In my spare time, I enjoy sports such as football, basketball, and running, as well as spending time with friends and family.
My Experience
I have around five years of experience working with children in both nursery and home environments. I am currently working as a nanny in N1 , providing care for children in their home and supporting their daily routines, playtime, and development in a safe and nurturing environment. My responsibilities include organising engaging activities, helping with meals, supervising play, and ensuring children feel happy, supported, and secure.
Alongside my nanny role, I also work on a zero-hours basis as a Nursery Practitioner at Be Me Day Nursery in Islington. In this role, I support children’s development through play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. I help plan and carry out activities such as arts and crafts, sensory play, storytelling, music, and outdoor play while encouraging children’s communication, confidence, and social skills. I also help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children.
Before this, I gained valuable work experience at Little Kingdom Nursery and Mudchute Farm Day Nursery in London. During this time, I assisted with daily routines, organised play activities, read stories with the children, and supported staff in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
In addition to my nursery experience, I have around three years of babysitting and nannying experience, which has helped me build strong relationships with children and families while supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and
development.
I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident leaving their children with someone they trust and I always aim to create a safe, caring and positive environment where children feel happy and secure. I am happy to build strong relationships with both children and parents and always communicate clearly about the children’s needs and routines.
My Qualifications
I hold an NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner, which has given me a strong understanding of child development and how to support children’s learning through play in line with the EYFS framework. Through this qualification, I developed important skills such as planning activities, supporting children’s communication and social development, and creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.
I have also completed several important training courses that help me provide safe and responsible care for children.
