Cornelia
Solo mum of twin boys. Full time nanny needed from Sept 2026
About Me
Solo mum, with twin boys. I will work full time from November in a hybrid set-up.
My Requirements
We are a welcoming, busy household looking for an exceptional, proactive, and warm-hearted nanny to join our family and care for my beautiful twins. The babies were born at 29 weeks and will be 2-3 months adjusted age by the time the position begins.
This role is ideal for someone who loves the dynamic of a collaborative teamwork setup, can take the lead confidently when solo, and brings a calm, upbeat energy to the home. As a solo twin mum, I am looking for a true partner in childcare, someone who can confidently run the show during the day and act as a reliable right hand.
? The Logistics
Start Date: Mid-August
Duration: Long-term commitment (Up to 2 years)
Initial Period: First 4 weeks could be a shorter schedule of 4 hours/day to help everyone transition.
Standard Hours: 08:30 – 18:00 (Full days after the initial 4 weeks)
Pay Rate: £20 – £23 gross per hour (Dependent on experience)
Employment Status: Flexible—open to both self-employed candidates or standard employment
Location: NW6 (Close to Finchley Road station), London
? Key Responsibilities
> Full Nursery Duties: Complete care of the twins, including preparing/sterilising bottles, managing their laundry, keeping the nursery organized, and maintaining a clean environment. We have modern appliances for all key activities to make your day easier and more efficient.
> Development & Play: Being highly proactive in seeking out local baby classes, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate outings in the area.
> Proactive Healthy Nutrition & Weaning: Wholesome food is a core priority in our home. When the time comes, you will be responsible for proactively researching and managing the twins' weaning journey, introducing varied, fresh ingredients, and establishing excellent, long-term healthy eating habits.
> Responsive Care: Reading and recognizing the twins' unique cues and evolving needs. I value a flexible approach rather than a strictly regimented, rigid schedule.
? About You
> Professional Nature & Open Dialogue: You view childcare as a career and conduct yourself with a high level of professional maturity. Communication is everything to me; you welcome feedback, handle open dialogue gracefully, and feel comfortable sharing your own expert insights so we can learn from each other.
> Twin Experience: Deeply understanding the specific needs of twins, with preferred experience caring for premature babies or infants with adjusted ages.
> Adaptable Work Dynamic: Comfortable working in a home where Mum is around, functioning seamlessly in a "team-work" setup, while equally confident running the show solo. (Note: Mum may work from home 1-2 days/week).
> Personality Traits: You have a naturally upbeat, kind, and calm demeanor. You are highly resourceful, emotionally resilient, and comfortable navigating the normal "whining" and fussiness that comes with infant development.
> Integration: You are proactive by nature, happy to show initiative, and eager to truly become a valued, long-term part of our family.
