About Me
I provide a home from home pre-school childcare experience in a nurturing environment , child focussed , outdoor and active , learning through play with an emphasis on independence , life/social/emotional skills .
Our day is structured
Breakfast , activity out of the setting eg country park woods zoo farm shop play area , including morning snack /lunch.
We spend the afternoon first with period of calm and chill nursery rhymes stories singing dancing and a chance to rest if needed.
During the afternoon (although structured and planned) there is the chance for free flow between a play activity eg garage, cars and car mat , an art & craft activity eg painting , garden play with sit on/ride on toys balls chalks. dolls’ buggies , a mark making table eg felt tip pens and an activity (adult led) linked to the week’s theme eg winter Including an afternoon snack /tea
Children will be expected to provide their own food - milk, snacks meals in a lunch box and water bottle .
Seasonal clothing and footwear with spare change of clothing is essential. Wellies and puddle suits preferable as we will always be out and about. Sun hat and your own suncream are a must during the summer months.
I am Married, a mum of 5 children (3 adult children and 13 year old twins who attend KBA Secondary ) we have 2 dogs.
I am an ex primary school teacher of 16 years (1993-2009) and a foster carer for babies for the Local authority for 17 years (2009 - current day )
Sorry I do not facilitate school or nursery drop off or collection , nor before /after school care for school aged children nor school holiday care for school aged children.
My Experience
Over 30 years experience as a Mum to 5 children (aged 28 25 20 and twins age 13), a primary school teacher for 16 years and foster carer for babies/younger children for the local authority for 17 years
I have a full paediatric first aid certificate plus various qualifications in safe guarding , emotional behaviour , trauma, separation and loss, attachment , childhood development and behaviour

A levels
Wealth of qualifications in trauma, attachment , managing behaviour, child development, child health.

My Availability
Monday - Thursday 8-5.30
All year round or term time only if preferred
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Funding 15 hours and 30 hours accepted and tax free child care accepted
Non-funded Day rate (8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm) £60
Hourly rate to supplement funded hours or day rate £6 per hour
Parents to provide all food - milk, snacks, meals, water bottle & nappies - no consumable charge.

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful childminder for our son, Theo. From the very beginning, Bec cared for him with so much love, kindness and patience, and genuinely made him feel like one of her own.
Over the past 6 months, we’ve watched his confidence grow so much. She has encouraged him to try new things while always giving him the reassurance he needs, and she has created such a warm, safe and happy environment for him.
Bec has made so many special memories with Theo, from all their little adventures to his love of toy stories, ice cream and all the activities they’ve done together. She knows him so well and has always understood his little quirks and personality.
It means so much to us that Theo has been so loved and cared for, and we will always be grateful to Bec for everything she has done for him. She was our first childminder and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. ❤️
