My Summary
About Me
I am a childminder working in Wonford, Exeter. I live with my husband, daughter and Xena the dog. When not working, we enjoy exploring the lovely Devon countryside, climbing, foraging and wild swimming. We are really lucky to be based next to Ludwell Valley Park so have lots of nature on our doorstep.
My Experience
I have always enjoyed working with children. I am a fully trained primary school teacher. For the past six years, I have worked in schools in both South Gloucestershire and Devon, across a range of year groups including preschool. After having my own daughter, I became particularly passionate about Early Years education and how to provide enriching experiences for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
My Qualifications
On top of my teaching PGCE, I have Designated Safeguarding Lead training, Pediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Childcare certificates. I have a First Class Honours degree in Psychology and keep up to date with the science behind children's development. I regularly undertake CPD to improve my skills and knowledge of the EYFS and how best to support young children.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I accept stretched funded hours, based on 46 weeks of childcare a year. This equates to 25 hours of funded childcare a week. Any additional childcare is charged at my standard rate of £7/hour.
