About Me
Hi, I’m Amy, I’m 33 and based in Kettering. I’m a caring, reliable and approachable person who enjoys spending time with children and creating a safe, happy and engaging environment for them.
I’m a teaching assistant and have a strong knowledge of children’s learning and development. I can also offer KS1 phonics support, as I teach phonics every day and have a strong understanding of how to help children develop their reading and phonics skills in a fun and encouraging way.
I’m looking to support families who need dependable childcare, whether that’s babysitting, nannying, after-school care or occasional childcare. I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children with someone they trust.
I have a full UK driving licence and my own car, so I’m flexible and able to travel to families in the local area.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, exploring new places, going to the gym and Zumba. I’m an active and positive person and enjoy getting involved in activities with children, whether that’s playing games, reading, doing creative activities or helping with homework.
I’m available for childcare during the week after 4pm, as well as weekends and half terms with advance notice. I’m happy to discuss your individual requirements and see how I can best support your family.

My Experience
I have over eleven years experience working with children through my role as a teaching assistant, where I support children on a daily basis with their learning, development and wellbeing. This has given me a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, routines and personalities, as well as the importance of creating a safe, caring and positive environment.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies Second Class 2:1 Degree
My Availability
I currently offer childcare alongside my role as a Teaching Assistant, so I’m available to support families around my working hours.
During the week, I’m available from 4.30pm onwards, as I work in Kettering and finish at 4pm. I’m also happy to help with weekend childcare with a little advance notice, as well as providing childcare during school holidays and half terms.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

We're so pleased with the care our 11 year old receives from Amy. She picks our daughter up from school and looks after her at home until we get back, and from day one we've felt completely at ease.
She's caring, reliable, and has built a lovely rapport with our daughter, who always feels comfortable and well looked after in her company. Communication is great too, we always know our child is in safe hands.
We'd happily recommend Amy to any parent looking for a kind and dependable childminder.
