About Me
Hi, I’m Amy, I’m 33 and live in Kettering. I’m looking to support families who need reliable childcare, whether that’s babysitting or nannying. I can also offer KS1 phonics tutoring as I teach this daily and have high knowledge about phonics.
I hold a full driving licence and have my own car, which makes me flexible and able to travel. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exploring new places, hiking, going to the gym, and Zumba, along with many other activities. I’m caring, dependable, and enjoy creating a positive and engaging environment for children.
I am a motivated and reliable individual with a strong academic background, having achieved a 2:1 degree. I am organised, approachable, and committed to doing my work to a high standard. I take pride in being responsible, adaptable, and eager to learn, and I work well both independently and as part of a team. I am keen to continue developing my skills and applying my knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment.
I am able to support with childcare after 4pm in the week as I work, I can offer weekends and half term support as well.
My Experience
I currently work as a Teaching Assistant at a local school, where I have been for the past 11 years. Throughout this time, I have gained extensive experience supporting children across a range of ages and abilities, working closely with teachers to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Prior to this role, I worked in a nursery school, developing strong foundations in early years care and education. I continue to work at the nursery as bank staff during school holidays, which allows me to maintain my early years experience and remain flexible and up to date in my practice.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies Second Class 2:1 Degree
My Availability
Depending on whether a full-time position becomes available, I would be able to offer increased flexibility. At present, I would be working alongside my role as a Teaching Assistant, unless circumstances change and a permanent position is agreed.
I can offer support after 4pm as I work in Kettering and don’t finish until 4pm. I can also offer childcare over the weekends with notice as well as school holiday support.

- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)

We're so pleased with the care our 11 year old receives from Amy. She picks our daughter up from school and looks after her at home until we get back, and from day one we've felt completely at ease.
She's caring, reliable, and has built a lovely rapport with our daughter, who always feels comfortable and well looked after in her company. Communication is great too, we always know our child is in safe hands.
We'd happily recommend Amy to any parent looking for a kind and dependable childminder.
