About Me
My name is Catherine, I am 24 years old. I grew up in a small town in Quebec, Canada and now live in Toronto, Canada. I am currently in England for school, I am in my first year of law school at the University of Birmingham. I grew up in a fairly large family of 7 people. I have 2 brothers, one older and one younger. My grandparents also live with me which makes it a very full house, which is something that I loved growing up. It was never a boring day in my house. I currently have 3 cats and overall grew up with lots of animals in the house. I am very passionate about working with children and for a very long time wanted to be a teacher, before I eventually chose to go into law. I have worked with children since I was young. I did some babysitting in high school, tutored kids and worked as both a day and overnight summer camo counsellor working with kids from age 4 to 16 years old. I would definitely love to have kids of my own in the future. I love to cook and bake, it’s been a big passion of mine ever since I was a child.
My Experience
1. I have looked after my younger brother when he was little. I looked after him ever since he was 8 years old.
2. I worked at a tutor for 3 years, tutoring French to young children age 6-9 years old. I spent between 1-2hours with them teaching them French and helping with their homework.
3. I have babysat for a family friend. It was 2 boys age 7, we played, watched TV, I fed them and put them to sleep.
4. I worked as an overnight summer camp counsellor for 2 years in a row. I worked at the camp for 2 years, over the span of 2 months in the summer. I was in charge of 8-10 children ages 4-7. I was in charge of planning and executing activities with them, watching over their safety and ensuring they were safe at night. If they had any concerns I was their go to person.
5. I also worked as a summer day camp counsellor for 1 year. I had a group of 10 kids aged 5-7. My responsibilities included preparing and executing activities with them, ensuring they were safe during the activities, supervising them during field trips and communicating with parents at the end of the day.

I have done a lot of work with children ever since I was a teenager.
