About Me
I am a friendly, reliable and calm nanny. I have a range of experience with many different children, and families approaches. One of my placement families commented recently that my calm demeanor helps their child to feel safe showing their emotions to me. I really value the ‘firm but fair approach’ through listening to children’s voices and emotions, while sticking to necessary boundaries. I enjoy spending time with my six-year-old stepdaughter; particularly reading bedtime stories, making up dances, and playing games. I make a conscious effort to introduce her to new foods, as well as giving her the opportunity to suggest what she wants to eat, and helping her to get involved with cooking safely. I enjoy cooking a variety of foods both at home and when working with children, and try to batch cook when possible to save time in the future. Every day working with children, something makes me smile. Children can be incredibly funny and I love how you never really know what they’re going to do or say next. My job role as a nanny helps me see the world through their eyes and appreciate the little things.
My Experience
I am happy to send over my cv to prospective employers. I graduated Norland College last year and during my training completed a range of placements each between 4-6 weeks up to 11 hours per day. Alongside my studies I worked as a nanny or babysitter. Prior to Norland I earned a level 3 nvq in Supporting Teaching and Learning which was formed through coursework and a 2 year placement in a primary school. I finished the course before the end of the two years but stayed on with my class as a volunteer as I had been with them since the beginning of year 1 and wanted to stay until the end of their year 2 school year.
My Qualifications
I have a BA honours Degree in Early Childhood Development from Norland College.
My Availability
I am available during the week and some evenings on the weekend.

- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
