Our children are in school full-time, so this role is about far more than childcare. We’re looking for someone who shares our parenting philosophy and wants to help raise kind, confident, respectful, healthy and curious young people.

Responsibilities

• Care for the children before and after school, during evenings, weekends, school holidays and family travel.
• Create a warm, fun, engaging and nurturing environment where the children feel supported, encouraged and loved.
• Foster confidence, independence, resilience and emotional intelligence through everyday experiences.
• Teach and reinforce kindness, gratitude, etiquette, respect and excellent manners.
• Prepare delicious, nutritious meals and snacks while encouraging the children to develop a healthy relationship with food through cooking together.
• Support learning beyond the classroom through reading, educational activities, homework support, creative projects and hands-on experiences.
• Encourage an active, screen-light lifestyle by replacing digital entertainment with outdoor adventures, sports, arts, cooking, games and imaginative play.
• Organize the children’s schedules, bedrooms, wardrobes, school items and activity planning.
• Travel with the family and help maintain consistent routines while creating enjoyable and enriching experiences wherever we are.
• While the children are at school, help keep the household running smoothly by managing children’s and family laundry, organizing wardrobes, tidying children’s spaces, preparing for the week ahead and maintaining an organized home.
• Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel, ensuring everything is thoughtfully organized before and after each trip.
• Support the day-to-day running of the household through light household management, including grocery shopping, pantry organization, keeping children’s supplies stocked, coordinating deliveries and helping ensure the home runs efficiently. (We have housekeeping support for deep cleaning.)

The ideal candidate will be:

• Warm, kind, positive and naturally nurturing.
• Energetic, active and enthusiastic, with a genuine love of spending time with children.
• An excellent cook who enjoys preparing healthy meals and inspiring children to eat well.
• Passionate about child development, education and creating enriching experiences.
• Qualified in Education, Teaching, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or Norland-trained (or holding an equivalent professional childcare qualification).
• An experienced career nanny with outstanding references and a proven track record working with private families.
• Highly organized and someone who enjoys creating calm, tidy and well-run spaces.
• Creative, proactive and always thinking of new adventures, activities and learning opportunities.
• Professional, discreet, dependable and able to work independently.
• Flexible and excited about travelling both domestically and internationally.
• Looking for a long-term role where they can become a trusted and valued member of our family.
