Introducing Little House on the Glen Childminding.
Hello, my name is Charlotte. I offer a nurturing, nature-rich home-from-home which backs onto Thundersley Glen, offering high-quality care for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Here, childhood is given time and space to unfold. Children learn through play, curiosity, nature and meaningful everyday experiences, with a gentle, child-centred approach inspired by slow pedagogy (Hygge) and forest school prinicples.
Our beautiful home and garden provide a natural, enriching environment where children can climb, dig, explore, create and discover wildlife. Enjoy imaginative play, stories, creative experiences, sensory exploration, cooking and opportunities to develop independence and confidence.
We also regularly venture out into the local community, visiting nearby shops, libraries and soft play as well as parks, green spaces and woodland areas, supporting children to build confidence in the wider world and have fun!
With small group sizes, every child is known, valued and supported as an individual. I place a strong emphasis on nurturing relationships, emotional wellbeing, connection and co-regulation, while providing an engaging early years curriculum in line with the EYFS.
My husband, two children, aged 7 and 10, and I can't wait to meet you and your little (or big) ones!
My Experience
I bring over 10 years' experience as a Child and Family Social Worker, alongside experience in a Nature Nursery, giving me a strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and supporting all children, whatever their needs may be.
Our Little House on the Glen, is a place where little hearts can feel safe, connected and confident to explore their world, with plenty of time to simply be, play and grow.

Level 3 Prep to Work in Homebased Childcare (in progress)

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
I accept most funding and I am happy to stretch funding for those who would like a full time space.
I require children to attend a minimum of 6 hours per day.
Meals provided at an additional cost.
Full care package also available at an extra cost for those who would prefer to take the stress out of their mornings.
