Hi there! I'm a current creative writing masters student with plenty of previous experience working with and caring for children, and prior social work experience in mental well-being roles.
I'm an advocate for less technology in children's lives and will prioritize time spent outside and fostering an active imagination, whether it be through reading, games, music, or art projects. Young people tend imitate the behaviour that see, so it's important to me that I role model compassion, patience, and understanding. Along with this, I am able to set firm boundaries and expectations with care. I am open and communicative and willing to work with parents on their goals for their children.
My Experience
Previously interned at a family center and assisted a preschool classroom along with after school activities, previous babysitting experience with ages 4 months to 5 years. I love working with toddlers and infants, but I am adaptable for any age!
My Qualifications
Youth Mental Health first aid trained, First Aid trained (both in the US)
BA in Psychology, Msc in Creative Writing (ongoing)
