Hey there, I'm Will - a caring, reliable, creative and resilient individual looking to move into childcare as a change of role, following a 15 year career in health and social care.
I provide a good sprinkle of warmth, silly goose energy, giggles, structure, reassurance and routine to help meet your children’s needs.
I understand the need for balance, learning and play and would get to bring my creative side out with your children, teach them little life skills and let their individuality shine. I understand the importance of routines, safety, and trust for children (and their parents), and would easily adapt to your families style and preferences. I also enjoy cooking (especially with/for others) and would love to help expand their tastebuds.
I take pride in being someone children feel relaxed and happy to be with and get excited to see. I also hope to become a parent myself one day too, which further motivates me to provide the kind of thoughtful, attentive care I would want for my own child.
My Experience
Although I don't hold any formal childcare qualifications, I have a lot of experience caring for children through family and close friends where I have grown up closely involved with my best friend’s children. I was trusted last year to care for their children (+ Frank the dog) independently while their parents went to hospital for the induction and delivery of their fourth baby, and I wish it didn't end. Kids being aged 5, 11 and 13 (the 5 year old can provide a glowing reference, alongside the adults).
I am also experienced working with children and adults with disabilities and additional needs, including Autism and LD, with a lot of transferable experience, having also worked in a Children's Home before.
In addition, I'm well loved by my cousins’ children (aged 1, 2 & 3!), having very recently been the dancing queen in the middle of a load of twirling little girls...
I am eager to learn, open to guidance, and hoping to find a family who will give me the opportunity to show that I am capable and able to support your family unit.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 diploma in health and social care whilst being very experienced in Safeguarding and promoting independence.
My Availability
I am hoping to find a 4 day a week job, however, if you feel I'd be a match for you and you're looking for something else, let's talk.

- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
