Home Away from Home

We cannot recommend Karen highly enough. Our 3-year-old son, DS, started going to Karen after he had really struggled to settle into nursery, so we were understandably quite nervous about how he would cope with another change.

From the very first meeting with Karen, DS was incredibly comfortable around her, and in her home, which immediately put us at ease. It was clear from day one that he felt safe, happy and completely at home in her care. He absolutely loved attending and would look forward to going, which was such a huge relief for us after seeing how difficult he had found nursery.

Karen provided DS with such a lovely balance of activities, both indoors and outdoors, giving him plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn in a fun and nurturing environment. It has been so wonderful to see him happy, confident and engaged.

Most importantly, we always felt completely safe and reassured knowing DS was in Karen’s care. She was warm, caring and attentive, and we always knew that he was being looked after as an individual and that his needs were genuinely understood.

Karen has made such a positive difference to DS and to our family. We are incredibly grateful for the care, kindness and happiness she has given him. We would recommend her without hesitation to any parent looking for a wonderful, caring and trustworthy childminder.
