About Me

Hello,

I am a kind, caring and patient individual with a positive, person-centred approach when interacting with others. I have over 10 years’ experience working as a carer supporting individuals living with dementia, where I have developed an adaptable mindset and a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care tailored to individual needs.

I hold a First Class (1:1) degree in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring, and I am currently applying for a Master’s in Play Therapy, with the aim of working therapeutically alongside children. This course starts in February 2027.

To meet the requirements of the APAC programme, I am looking to gain a further 8 months’ experience working with children. Previously, I worked as an au pair in Italy for two summers with the same family, and volunteered with ICS Restless Development in Nepal for three months, supporting women and children in both school and community settings.

In 2020, I worked as a temporary nursery assistant, supporting children from babies through to pre-school age. I also hold an active DBS certificate. However I will have to apply for a new one to include all sections on the enhanced certificate as my current DBS stateS that some sections where not requested. This may time some time, so with the right family we would have to organise this.

I am currently looking for an opportunity to gain this additional experience as a short-term plan, but I would be very happy to discuss longer-term opportunities and continuing work alongside my studies.

I understand that caring for someone else’s child is a serious and sensitive responsibility. I believe meeting in person to build trust and ensure clear expectations would be the best way to move forward.
