About Me

am a caring, reliable and experienced childcare professional with extensive experience supporting children, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
As a mother of two children, including an 8-year-old child with additional needs, I have developed a strong understanding of the individual needs, communication styles and challenges that children on the autism spectrum may experience. I also have professional experience working as a nanny for a family with a child with severe autism, including supporting a non-verbal child. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable practical knowledge of autism, including the use of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and working alongside Speech and Language Therapy approaches.
Since March 2026, I have also been volunteering in a school, supporting children aged 3–5 in both Nursery and Reception classes. This has given me further hands-on experience within a school environment and strengthened my ability to work patiently and positively with young children, while supporting their learning, development and wellbeing.
I hold a current DBS check and have completed First Aid training, including courses undertaken during my previous employment as an administrator in a GP surgery. I am also a holder of a full UK driving licence and have my own car.
I am a compassionate, patient and responsible person who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where every child can feel comfortable and reach their potential.
