About Me
My name is Talyia and I am 21. I am a positive and energetic person who is loves being creative with new activities and ways of doing things. I am a good communicator and will find ways that work for you and your children to a high professional standard.
I love to travel and experience new cultures and people. I have recently got back from the classic Australia and Asia and had the best time.
I enjoy outdoor activities and advocate this for children’s development and learning. I have grown up in a sailing family and have my day skipper qualification, sailing much of the south coast and Greece . Being out on the water or outside is something I really enjoy - walks, sports etc. I also grew up a competitive swimmer and hockey player.
My Experience
I worked in a specialist education school (SEN) with children with autism and other needs, 1:1 with a child where I behaviour manage and deliver lessons. I have been doing this for just over 2 years and I absolutely love it but am just ready for a change. I found my calling with working with children and am now studying a primary eduction degree, hoping to then continue to my masters in psychology.
My Qualifications
I have GCSEs and A-Levels in psychology, sociology and history. I am CPI trained and am up to date on safeguarding training.
My Availability
I can only do part time work until end of May 2026 as I am completing a full time uni degree alongside work but from May 2026- the start of October 2026 I am fully available for full time. The choice of days can be discussed and I am not set on which days I work so whatever best for you and your family (not weekends) . During Uni months I am available for up to 3.5 days a week , outside this full time work would be amazing (University runs from October - end of may so able to complete more hours outside of these times).
I am happy to accommodate hour and day changes when they arise but appreciate as much notice to help plan my personal life and give you the best chance of me being available for you.
