About Me
My name is Talyia and I am turning 21 this March. I am a positive and energetic person who is loves being creative with new activities and ways of doing things. I am a good communicator and will find ways that work for you and your children to a high professional standard.
I love to travel and experience new cultures and people. I have recently got back from the classic Australia and Asia and had the best time.
I enjoy outdoor activities and advocate this for children’s development and learning. I have grown up in a sailing family and have my day skipper qualification, sailing much of the south coast and Greece . Being out on the water or outside is something I really enjoy - walks, sports etc. I also grew up a competitive swimmer and hockey player.
My Experience
I currently work in specialist education school with children with autism and other needs, 1:1 with a child where I behaviour manage and deliver lessons. I have been doing this for just over 2 years and I absolutely love it but am just ready for a change. I found my calling with working with children and am now studying a primary eduction degree, hoping to then continue to my masters in psychology.
My Qualifications
I have GCSEs and A-Levels in psychology, sociology and history. I am CPI trained and am up to date on safeguarding training.
My Availability
I can only do part time work as I am completing a full time uni degree alongside work. The choice of days can be discussed and I am not set on which days I work so whatever best for you and your family. My preferred is 3 days a week as this works with my university work but I am happy to do up to 3.5 days per week but will not be able to exceed this during my uni months. (University runs from October - end of may so able to complete more hours outside of these times).
